Katy’s Spaghetti Sauce Recipe Ingredients: 1 sweet onion 4 cloves of garlic 2 tbsp dried basil 2 tbsp dried parsley 1tbsp dried oregano “Gallo” Merlot Wine Salt & Pepper Ground hamburger Spaghetti Olive Oil 1 large can of plain tomato sauce 1 small can of plain diced tomatoes Fresh parmesan cheese
Begin by boiling water for the pasta in a 4 quart pan, then sauté onions in olive oil in frying pan, brown the hamburger and drain, place hamburger and onions back into pan and pour in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and then add the dried herbs, (note – make sure to pour the herbs into your hand and rub it over the sauce); then pour in merlot wine, (note – I count one thousand one, one thousand two and one thousand three). Cook until pasta is done and pour on top of each plate of pasta. Sprinkle with fresh parmesan cheese. Enjoy! “Try substituting the hamburger with hot or sweet Italian sausage”.
